To all the haters: I can see at least two good reasons for these methods. 1. These are methods by which one can get EXACTLY the look & color that they desire. 2. By not just going out & buying a new planter/s, one is significantly reducing perfectly good plastic planter/s from ending up in the refuse/landfill.

The second pot she started with suddenly changed from a flimsy single walled pot to a nice double walled pot. AMAZING! I have to try it.

Thank you for a straight forward instructional video. I hop I can find these at home depot. I will have to paint with the plants inside bc they are too big and heavy. The plastic 'terra cotta' look is faded and not so pretty anymore. Will try to make a shabby stone look.

Omg, I’m not going to use all those ingredients. Either spray paint the old one, or buy new ones.

Looks great, but the cost of all the products, might as well buy a brand new pot.

Guys you can paint the pots with cheaper acrylic colors It will still look great and stick to pot Or you can make compost from kitchen waste in old pots I think this would be a nice idea

Yes but the point is not to save money but do our bit to Save the Planet....and stop plastic going into landfill. When I was younger... am 58..living in England....we reused and recycled because wages were low. We didn't have the funds to keep buying new all the time nor did we see the need to. That was called wasteful. A small metal bin served a family of 6 and still wasn't full at the end of the week. I agree tho. ..after 10 years my pots look a bit grimy even though I clean them every year. They each cost between £3 and £6....Ive got about 20....easier to buy new but i can't bear to take them to the tip. I'll try a scrubbing brush on them or sandpaper. If not maybe paint is the answer.. ..but then paint comes in plastic cans now!!! Aaaargh...

How much spent on ingredients to spray an old pot? Think I'll just wash, scuff lightly n' give it a spray. Didn't pay more than $1 or $2 for any of my plastic pots. I buy almost nothing brand new.

I’d never do all of this to paint a pot. Plus I can’t imagine how much it cost to buy everything she’s using. If it’s a plastic pot, get yourself some plastic spray paint. Probably even cheaper to go buy a new pot. They now sell color pots at Lowes and Home Depot. This video is wasted time and money to me.
