Thanks for the info! When you say thinner, do you mean pitch-wise (like for a 525 pitch chain vs the 530 pitch chain)?

@@hiimchad No still 525 pitch just the sprocket attachment is approx 2mm thinner than previous models.

@@DukeOfTwist I’m almost convinced I’m experiencing a similar situation right now with a gold supersprox rear sprocket I purchased from Amazon and even though it listed my model I’m about convinced I cannot use it as I’ve taken apart and reassembled my rear wheel down to the hub thinking I’m missing something or something was put on wrong but both times I go to apply torque to the axle nut and then the wheel goes stiff and won’t spin freely 😢 what a letdown cause that gold sprocket really tickled my fancy.

@@Onedown5ups We used the thick one on a gen2 Tuono we also have, so it wasn't wasted.

Timely as got the tyre fitter dropping By for some new Bridgestone S22’s next week - especially with your link to how to recalibrate the speed👍🏻 Supercorsas don’t last long on the Tuono do they, although I once had to explain to traffic police that I really was about to change tyres, when stopped on my 09 Daytona with a similar amount of canvas showing through eleven years ago...🙈😇

Glad our tire wear cycles synced up and made this timely! What are the odds? 😂 They do not, especially the TD version. These are an SC3, so a bit more of a middle-ground between the standard Supercorsa V3 and the SC3 Superbike slicks. It’s a single compound all the way around, but I managed two track days and about 1300 street miles, and it worked awesome at the track, so I’m happy. It was sliding around a little the last couple times I popped wheelies and I was confused until I got home and looked at the tire 😅

First off, Thank you for all your videos, your channel has been instrumental in me deciding to go with 2017 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory, and I bought one a month ago. However I do have a request. Would you be able to talk about the steering damper? What setting you use for street and setting you use for the Track. I have no idea what to set it at for different use. Thanks again.

Hey Gurminder! Thanks for sharing your feedback, and I’m glad I was able to help in your decision making process. 😁 I have the steering damper resistance up as high as it will go and haven’t adjusted it since setting it there. I run it at that setting whether on the road or at the track. I found with mine that at the highest-resisting setting, it offers what I have felt in the midrange if adjustment for some of the aftermarket units out there, which I think is just right for me. That said, I wouldn’t be opposed to talking about it in more depth in a video. 🙂 Thanks for the request!

@@hiimchad thanks Chad for your input. I come from sportbike line up, my CBR 1000RR had electronic steering damper so never had to mess around with it. And My RC51 has Scott's, for that at higher setting I can barely move the handle bars. I will try yo set the Tuono at the highest setting and will see how it feels. Thanks again. And keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos. And love your Cover Your Ass, aka "virtual" riding, lol.

@@gmhothi79 happy to help! A friend of mine has a Scotts or GPR on his supermoto and the bar is nearly impossible to move when it’s on the firmest setting. The Tuono’s Ohlins damper won’t get anywhere close to that in my experience. Glad you like the simulator! 😂

My guy, get a breaker bar to remove that nut. You're not doing your torque wrench any favors by breaking bolts with it, you should really only use it for the last torquing of the nut/bolt, otherwise you should use other ratchets.

My torque wrench ratchets in both directions, so I don't see how that would do any damage to it.

@@hiimchad Torque wrenches are calibrated, and using them to break nuts can push it out of calibration. Feel free to look it up, a quick google search will give you that answer. Out of calibration, and you could end up over or under torquing something you thought was within spec.

@@wiggenvan interesting, I have been doing this for at least a decade with this torque wrench without noticeable issue, but it makes sense that as it is used more often the spring or whatever determines the torque would wear. I’ll keep that in mind.

it goes in both directions because it allows you to torque down reverse threaded nuts/bolts as well. its not meant to loosen. other than that great video!

Not sure you want to use a torque wrench for undoing nuts and bolts. I have read that on some types it can affect the calibration.

My torque wrench is bi-directional. I've been undoing axle bolts and lug nuts with it for years, and nothing has fallen off yet 🙂 Good advice if a torque wrench does not ratchet counter-clockwise, though!

Worth it for a quality tire with a lot of grip! I run the Supercorsa SC3 rear and it goes at a similar rate, if not a little faster 😅

@@jeremydahm2124 oh yeah, huge improvement from a Q3+. I was able to get two days out of an SC3 Supercorsa rear, but it was getting very loose by the end of that second day.
