Get a blowlamp on it and wire wool after will come off loads easier

As I have explained in the video if you only have one or two it's fine, If you have more you can get a blow torch and a heat mat but it's also more expensive. You might need to watch the video again.

This is for a DIY person. A blowtorch is not a common item in most DIY toolboxes and paying £75 is not worth the expense. This method takes time and effort but it is cheap. Some solvent might help though.

Hi there, As I have explained in my video you can use a heat mat and a blow torch, however this is more expensive, and if you only have one or two pipes that need doing then it's not bad. Unfortunately my pipes was caked on with paint so it took longer than usual but sometimes it can take just five minutes.

Isn't a coarse sandpaper just as effective?

Hi there, The 180 grit silicone carbide strips are a medium grade, generally they work well, however when you have paint that is caked on it can take longer than expected.

@@diyshop839 Well I bought some just now to try it out changing a toilet which I am informed has been in since the 70s so a few layers of paint to work on.
