We install chargers for EVgo. We do our own stripping and used to just black out the old lines which they were always OK with. Now they want us to either scarf the old lines or seal coat all the new stalls. Still trying to decide which option. I have to say though, new stripping over new seal coat looks really good.

Striping* 😁 this is exactly what Tesla is making us do now the spec is everything has to be ground off before they wanted to black out and sealcoat but now everything has to be removed. This is a great machine if you do any business with Sherwin Williams it will allow you to finance one and pay it off through the season with no credit check other than your active account

How much do you charge by the line for grinding? Considering getting one for my striping business, has it been worth it in your opinion?

think it was 6k with tax and shipping from Sherwin Williams..... I think it is a game changer no more having to black anything out imagine going to a customer and telling them rather then paint a box around that fire lane and no parking because last guy used some funky ass stencils , I can grind it off all together and leave it looking fresh and neater. I mean it's a tool you would use for a specific situation on a job like any other specialty tool so are you gonna use it every day? no, but if you are ever in a situation where you have to black out or you go into somebody's parking lot and all of the lines are crooked and you tell them look rather than me paint over these crooked lines which will only make them stand out that much more having fresh paint on them I can grind those right down and repaint it straight as an arrow. That way anyone who comes to in years to follow will paint those lines just as straight as I did..... Or in situations where people used to have to sealcoat sections that they wanted to change the layout on now you can just grind it off..... and all of that is a definite up charge.... Not only does it help your work look better but it gives you an opportunity to charge the customer more money while giving them something of quality in return

@@thesealerguys Yes I 100% understand the benefits of having one, Im more weighing my options between getting a grinder vs getting a sandblast setup, and was curious of your first hand experience. Is the scarring less noticeable on concrete than asphalt? Does yours grind 8 or 10 inches? Thanks for answering!

@@imbored895 I know a guy in Texas who does striping..... He uses a company down there that have their own set up for sandblasting off lines from what I understand it's very very expensive to put that truck together
