This is a quick video demonstrating how to replace a light bulb in your Chevy Tahoe headlight. This was done on a 2007 but should work the same for 2008, 2009 and maybe even newer.
This is performed without removing your wheel and fender lining to gain access to another screw on the bottom side of the headlight housing. After replacing the bulb and screwing the housing back in place it seems to be perfectly secure. The lower screw seems unnecessary. Perform this at your own risk.
Note* From feedback given by other viewers it might be possible to to get the bulb replaced without fully removing all the screws (specifically the screw on the backside).
Steps:
1. Pop the hood.
2. Remove the two bolt screws pointed out in the video.
3. Wiggle the lamp housing loose. There are two pins on the outer edge that go into grommet holes. These are a bit hard to come out at first. It may help to use a screwdriver for parts of it, just be careful of the paint and bumper. I ended breaking a couple plastic clips on the outer rim of the lamp housing (not really a big deal, still held together fine).
4. Once you have enough room to get your hand back behind then find the bulb you need to replace. The bulb I replaced turned very hard but they are not all that way. It only turns about 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn before it comes out. Remember "righty tighty, lefty loosy".
5. Now that the bulb is free, pull the bulb from its holder and insert the new bulb (make sure it clips in all the way).
6. Now go backwards through the steps to reinsert the replaced bulb and get everything back together.
