I love this bike, but the Kenda tires that come on it are poorly made and don't last more than 10k miles. So - if you own one of these eventually you're going to need to replace the thing, and that means a $600 dealership visit to get ANOTHER Kenda tire put on it.. or a bit of effort and $120 to put a car tire on the bike that will last far longer.
The Spyder uses a standard J-channel car-style rim it's tires and the geometry of the trike means the rear wheel rides flat as the bike doesn't lean like a motorcycle.. so, if you can find the right size (15" rims aren't that common on cars anymore) you can put a better tire on than you get from BRP. It takes a little effort but it's worth it.
I chose a Kumho Ecsta AST - size 225/50R15
I'm not a mechanic, nor do I work for Can Am BRP or any dealership. Do your own research before following any advice in this video.
