"Before we begin, safety is our top priority. Make sure to unplug the lamp from the power source to avoid any electrical hazards. If you're not comfortable working with electrical components, it's best to seek assistance from a professional."
"Carefully disassemble the lamp to gain access to the switch. Remove the lampshade, bulb, and all decorative elements. Keep track of screws and parts to facilitate reassembly later."
"Inspect the lamp carefully to identify the problem. Check the cord for any frayed or exposed wires. Inspect the socket and switch for signs of damage. If you see a problem, it It's time to move on to the next step."
"With a multimeter, check the socket for continuity. If there is no continuity, the socket may be damaged and needs to be replaced. Simply open the old socket, disconnect the wires, and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Attach the new socket by following the procedure."
