Awesome, thanks so much for this post. Second time my Oracle had this problem, first time I sent it in, but having to wait 10-14 days gets old quick, so I just completed this repair myself. Wouldn't have been able to do this without your help! One small correction, though: the "manual coffee hole" is the feeder hole for the top water inlet, not a coffee feeder. Whatever falls in there falls right through to the water tank bay. One more thing: the two top screws on the front require a VERY long Philips screwdriver. Make sure you have one before starting this job.

Awesome guide, managed to use this to fix my milk frother not texturing my milk. Thought originally it was the air pump. Turns out it was not, it was the steam solenoid was a little dirty. On the right side of the breville as you look at the top. I took most of the hoses off and gave the ends a clean. Took apart the steam solenoid as much as I could and cleaned it out, blew through the hose going to the steam wand. Put back together and it was texturing milk again. Should have made a guide myself as this kind of information is just not out there at all!

Thanks for the video, I have a side note for prevention in the Oracle - to avoid getting the solenoid valve stuck run the backflush regularly every couple of days, and run a full cleaning cycle with tablets every couple of weeks. It might seem like an expensive proposition since those tablets ain't cheap, but this machine is definitely worth it. Don't wait for the machine to tell you it needs a clean, this warning is time based and usually by the time it pops up the entire water system is pretty gunked up already.

Stuck on the first step, can't get those Philips head screws out lol. Can't tell if my screwdriver is too big or too small, I can't go bigger because it's too long to fit in that hole and I can't go smaller because it is too short to reach the screw, the one that does fit doesn't seem to unscrew it as the head must be the wrong size! Edit. Finally got it, had to jam the"too long" one past the plastic bit that sits under the drip tray

Hi . thank you for your video. My coffee maker is a Breville model BES870XL/B unfortunately the pressure does not rise. The gauge is working. The pump worked by taking out an output pipe from it and turning it on, and it had a good output pressure. All the pipes are clean, and I cleaned them twice with special tablets. The steam works and there is no problem. I still could not find the problem. If I find it, I have the possibility to repair it. I have two guesses, one is the external stream ring and casket and the other is the solenoid valve. In the first case, the device has no leaks at all, neither internal nor external pipes. Thank you for your advice in advance

I also have the touch version now and had a similar issue of temperature ‘hanging’ - in my case around 150. This happened after a descale. I think steam gets into the internal temp sensing and messes some readings up. I called breville and they said do a factory reset and then leave it turned on for several hours. I was skeptical but this worked! Seems to dry out the internals so sensors work correctly again.

Hello Jonathan, thank you for the video. I was wondering if you would have a recommendation on converting my UK purchased Sage / Breville Oracle from 240v 50Hz to 120v 60Hz. Do you know if this would require a new computer board or transformer - or just sell it in the UK before leaving?
@sodafountain8313

@Bruce Becwar im not jonothan but i will to help id reccomend a step up transformer or replacing the cordset with one that connects to a 240 direct outlet or buy and bring over a uk socket and box and have a dedicated curcit run to the kitchen. step up transformer would be the cheapest option
@Falcon5ive
2 жыл бұрын
@@sodafountain8313 The step-up transformer can convert the mains 120v to 240v for the machine but won't convert 60Hz to 50Hz which messes with pumps precision and brewing. To convert a Sage to Breville or vice versa will require a change of PCB, pumps and solenoid, which would cost almost as much as the machine. Better to sell it in UK and get a 120v machine there.
@sodafountain8313
2 жыл бұрын
@@Falcon5ive since that would be cheapest option in terms of bringing it over, you could just use a more complicated option that takes ac makes it dc and regenerates an ac signal in the hz you need it, then add a step up transformer
@Falcon5ive
2 жыл бұрын
@@sodafountain8313 Sage Oracle is a 2400 Watts on 220v machine, it will still cost a lot to run an inverter and step-up transformer to feed it. There is some power loss involved in conversion, so it will cost more to run, plus the converters don't last long either. I have been on this path before, factoring in everything, it's better to get a Breville 120v machine, its cheaper than Sage versions anyways.

When pressure is released after brewing, some water with coffee can make it up into the brew head. This is how you'd clean a semi automatic, google backflushing espresso machine if you want to see it in action. That is probably happening in this machine too, except there is nowhere for the coffee to go but up into the machine where it could clog stuff at some point.

I just had this problem today. I think I figured what was happening, but still need to tweek things a little more. I think it has to do with the adjustable tamper fan connector. That is what the tamper fan magnetically connects to. The connector itself screws onto a threaded connection above it. I believe it has to do with the allen screw that allows you to adjust the height the tamper fan ends up sitting above the grounds. I adjusted it down a bit and it seemed to solve the problem. Here is a link to the part so you can see what it looks like. www.breville.com/us/en/parts-accessories/parts/sp0014256.html
