Quickie demo showing how to replace the wiper blade inserts on your 8th generation Honda Civic (Model years 2006-2010). Replacing wiper blade inserts is a better economical choice that costs less and performs BETTER than replacing the entire wiper blade and holder assembly with lesser quality after market variants. The blade inserts retail at your local Honda dealership for about $8/blade. Generally speaking my experiences with Honda wiper refill inserts have been excellent and Honda sources some high quality blades. I've found that using aftermarket blades or blade assemblies (typically found at your local Costco and Auto Value or Pep Boys) just don't fare up to the same quality and performance standards as the genuine Honda parts.
Remember: The longer blade is the driver's side and the shorter one is the passenger side!
If you've inadvertently replaced the blade holders with an aftermarket one you will need to re-purchase the factory Honda ones in order to use the blade refills as demonstrated in my video.
The car in the video is a coupe and they use slightly different blades than the sedans do.
Please use these part #'s for the coupe:
Driver's Side: 76622-SVA-A01
Passenger Side: 76632-SVA-A01
Please use these part # if you have a sedan.
Driver's Side: 76622-STK-A02
Passenger Side: 76623-SNA-A12
The replacement process for both the coupe and sedan versions is exactly the same.
Having a clear and clean windshield is integral to driving safety and one should NEVER drive with worn out wipers! The fix is easy and cheap so there is no excuse for risking yours or other's safety.
Good luck!
