This is my detailed procedure for easily replacing the cabin air filter on my 2005 Honda S2000 AP2. Not to be confused with a standard air filter for your engine, these filters are also known as dust/pollen filters with the purpose of filtering the air entering the cabin to provide fresh air to its occupants. Unlike most cars where the cabin air filter is located under the dashboard and is accessed from behind the glove compartment, this car's filter is uniquely located outside under the front cowl just below the windshield.
The top tip for this procedure is to use a small 5 mm socket to safely remove the clips that hold down the rubber weather stripping. Otherwise you risk tearing out the clips and ripping the rubber.
For about $10 in parts, why pay someone else do it when you can do it yourself!
