This video will show how to replace the cartridge on a Price Pfister Avante Single Handle Tub & Shower faucet.
REPAIR NOTE: In the past I have tried silicone “plumber's” grease as well as other silicone lubricants to fix a stuck faucet. In my personal experience they work great for a while then the cartridge goes bad again. Since the cartridge has to be removed anyway, and they’re not “overly” expensive. I just replace it and it seems to last longer.
This video will also include information or a vinegar hack on how to remove hard water deposits from a “stuck” diverter valve, without removing the spout. Finally, it will contain information on how to turn off the water main at your house or building and from the street.
I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you for watching.
