Big difference from the old MK4 VW...You start with removing a 23mm nut on the axle stud. Then the bearing/hub needs to be pulled off with a puller then you have to cut the inner race left behind on the axle stud. Also the ABS sensor sits over the ABS cage on the hub. This is where it can corrode and expand then eventually eats your ABS sensor apart. Replacing an ABS sensor on the MK4 can be a total nightmare....and sometimes it just snaps in..hit or miss. I wish I could replace the old stubs with the newer design.....

when winding back the calliper take the top off your brake fluid res tank and cover it with a cloth so it lets the air out and stop any brake fluid spatter

I realize its a year later, but others could look at this in future. Yours is a great idea if you don't have new brake fluid on hand and work with what you got, but ideally open the bleeder valve and let the old fluid come out of the caliper and then top off the res tank with new.

Great video as always quick question for you I have an 03 PD130 bora got a power steering problem pumps fine no leaks anywhere not heavy but when driving the steering wheel jumps from 11 to 1 o clock quite scary scanned the car and it says it’s G85 steering angle sensor is it more likely to be a wheel hub sensor or the actual angle sensor in the column any advice would be good thanks in advance mr BMAC

I would check the abs readings first and foremost, just to get an idea of the condion of your sensor readings. did you watch my video on my other channel?
