If the ac / heating unit is not working how are you able to determine if you need a new blower motor or a resistor?
@1AAuto

Thank you for watching.If the problem is the resistor then the fan only work on the Highest setting. If it is the motor the fan will not work on any of the settings. Please let us know how the repair comes out! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

s_kees This was 3 years ago but just in case others are having this issue, it’s most likely 1 of 3 things if air coming out. 1)Blower Motor Control Module/ Resistor 2)Blower Motor 3)Thermostat

My blower motor just stopped working on my 2004 Monte Carlo SS , out of the blue. Came back on when I started the car after about 9 hours and worked until I shut the car off. I started the car again and was able to get it working again by hitting it but it didn't stay on. Is this the motor or the resistor ? Also cannot get the passenger side window up with both window switches. Passenger side window switch will work only to open the window but won't close it. Does my car have electrical problems ?

I’m guessing the gasket along the inside of the hood leaks ( heavy rain ) I have had the passenger floor get wet and could cause wiring problems

Do you know where the blower motor fuse location will be
@kennethkruse9267

Joey Stevens It should be in the fuse compartments on the passenger side or drivers side. Or under the hood.

what would cause the a/c heat to only blow cold air and not any heat? could it be the resistor?
@1AAuto
9 жыл бұрын
You may want to check the antifreeze level in the radiator to see if it's up to it's proper level. Never remove the radiator cap off of a hot radiator, as the hot antifreeze may shoot out and burn you. Always check it want to check it when the motor is cold, also top off the radiator reservoir fluid if it's low. If there's an air pocket in the cooling system due to low antifreeze level, it may result in a loss of heat.
@33ad1

Check the coolant level in the radiator and reservoir. If the coolant is very low then there will be not enough coolant flowing through the heater core. Also the Temp. Blend door actuator could be stuck in the cold position.
