Hey. I just removed the engine splash plastic shield and took out the fan, then removed 2 top plastic clips that hold the rediator and condenser together. That's it. I then pull out the condenser from the bottom without interrupting the radiator. Took time but was successful. Thank you!

I used this method a few months ago on my son's 2010 Mazda3. It worked well, and I really appreciated these helpful videos. However, since we had previously used stopleak products, we had to replace the condensor a second time because it plugged the receiver/drier. The second time, I found the video by TRQ by searching for 'radiator replacement' instead of 'condenser replacement'. You actually can remove the radiator/condenser from the bottom. We used jacks and several jack stands for safety, but ramps would have been easier and high enough. It took us about 45 minutes to get the radiator/condenser out and about 30 minutes to put it back in. But I still want to thank Alexey for all the work that he did to document his procedure.

I just did this job. You can jack the car up high enough and remove the radiator and condenser below. While this method works its WAY more work than necessary.

FWIW, on the previous version Mazda 3, for example a 2009, is much easier. Remove both undertrays. Remove airbox, Remove fan from under car; the plastic clips on the bottom are tight but once released, raise the fan to break it loose from the four mounts, the pull the fan out from underneath. Disconnect the two AC condenser lines located next to the radiator at the front right side of car and tie them out of the way. Next, remove the two round "plugs" (each has an "F" and an arrow pointing frontward and is about 1 1/2" in diameter) that push through the bodywork over the radiator; I did it with a pair of visegrips, my finger, and a screwdriver to lift the plugs out. Next, get under the car, lift the radiator/condenser assembly upward to lift the bottom alignment pins out of the plastic frame mounts (it will be tight and take some effort to raise the assembly while pulling down on the mounts). Pull radiator/condenser assembly rearwards and lower slightly to gain access to the plastic tabs holding the condenser in place. Release two tabs, push up on condenser to release. Carefully slide it down and out. Reassembly is the reverse of the above. Good video and I'm glad I didn't have to go to this extreme to replace a condenser.

Yeah, 2008 Mazda 3 S 2.3L same . But...it looks like the 2010 could be done that way too. Maybe a little tighter? But, safer and easier

Do you guys have any impact wrenches? It would make jobs like this MUCH easier than using a breaker bar for everything... though hand tools are probably best for safe reassembly.

That was very nice of you... Have you tried an electric impact? I recently bought an IR W7150 1/2" drive. It is extremely powerful for an electric impact, but it is a little noisy too.

Sorry to hear that. You might be able to find one in the $300's somewhere... I bought one for rotating my own tires & brakes... I am not a mechanic or anything, but I like to do a lot of work myself because I know it is done right, and I really like tools. Was that your Mazda or a Customer's Mazda? I paid the car dealer almost $200 to change my coolant on my Mazda 3 because I do not know how to remove the air, so I would think if this is a customer's Mazda, you would be charging probably $1200 for a job like this.

None of this is necessary. You don’t have to remove the bumper cover. You remove all the covers under the front of the car and raise the front end up high enough to remove everything out the bottom. The fan first, then remove the radiator and condenser together. All of it will come out the bottom.

Can confirm, out the bottom piece by piece works the best. I did it on the ground, with a jack. I lifted the car almost to the max height of my 2.5ton jack. Only things that I had to do extra was remove the passenger rad hose off the engine too and tuck it beside the alternator for extra room to allow the ac condenser connection to fit. Main pieces I removed were: complete under tray, complete airbox with inlet tube and engine cover. I did the ac compressor, both belts and new condenser in about 3 hours total.

Appreciate your trying to help people out with how to video but that’s not how this job is done. All you have to do is remove the bottom mud cover and get to it from the bottom

I had to replace the condenser on my 2012 Mazda 5 (almost identical to the Mazda 3). As some have mentioned here, you can remove the fans and take it out the back (toward the engine), without removing the bumper. Much easier. There is a video on removing the radiator that has all of the same steps and was very helpful: kzitem.info/news/bejne/jo55l5ikfHqrYKw.
