Thank you for leaving in the part where the water pump was difficult to remove. Most other videos jump from removing bolts to reinstalling the pump. I found your video while looking for a trick to get the pump out. I guess i need a bigger hammer.

Thanks for the video. I have a new radiator, hoses, water pump and belts coming for my 2016 f15, 5.0 V8. It has 275,000 miles but it still runs good and I'm religious about oil changes but I guess I neglected to change the radiator fluid often enough. The radiator has a leak at the plastic tank and the aluminum cooling fins on the passenger side. I figured since I would be taking the radiator out I might as well treat the ole gal to all new parts on the front side. BTW, thanks for giving the video a title that makes it easy to find. I'm searching all of you tube to get numerous mechanics take on changing these parts out. Yours is a big help! CC got to love it.

i mainly watched the video to see you fill the cooling system, i have a vacuum filler i am going to use but i was wondering why you pinched the lines on the overflow bottle? i heard someone having issues with getting it to hold a vacuum if you dont, is that true?
@Columbiaauto

Yes if it is an overflow bottle that is not part of the sealed system you will need to pinch off line but if it is part of sealed system it should be fine without pinching line

No stretch belt on AC needing zip ties on the crank when putting the belt on? I got a 17 F150 5.0.. I’m about to do this.

Thanks, good video. I wouldn’t have used city water though, only distilled. Don’t want any mineral deposits in that system.

Good video! I wanted to check in with you to see an issue I’m having with my ford f150 5.0. After replacing the water pump, thermostat, Y-Pipe T-Connector, both belts like you mentioned and Radiator Hose…I’m left without my ac heat working. I get no heat at all and can’t defrost my windshield even after filling up with new coolant but the reservoir does need to be refilled from time to time but no leaks are visible. Was wondering is it’s an internal problem?

Sounds like you have air in the system.Best thing to do is pull a vacuum on the system and fill but if you have no way to pull a vacuum just fill reservoir and turn on high heat and run high idle until you get heat, you may have to do that several times to get air out.

Okay I will try that out and give it a shot (running high on idle with heat on). Thank you for the assistance
