You are a special person with incredible talent. Watching your videos leaves me speechless (imagine that!) There are no words to describe the talent you have. From your ingenious ideas, your ability to trouble shoot, creating and making mods to your projects to make them work, to the ability you have to stand before a camera and do your thing, not many have the courage to do. And let’s not forget your creative editing abilities. Getting your point across and still being about to cut out the cuss words and the flying tools. LOL! You have a huge impact on people in the Jeep world. You’re nothing less than a Fucking genius, a legend in your own time. I Love seeing your videos and watching as your channel continues to grows by leaps and bounds. It’s really Sumpthin’. I’m so happy for you! Thanks for sharing your gifts with the world. Happy to pick up an 01 XJ a few months ago so I can turn some wrenches again. I have a small leak in the heater core so I'm going to replace the aging cooling system since I have a weekend of work to do anyway and I live in the mountains so it's necessary to keep up on the cooling system. I'm considering this radiator and wondering if anyone would recommend for or against the Mishimoto.

In my opinion mishimoto makes the best radiator for the xj. We have one in both of our XJ's we also run their electric fans although I don't like their fan controller I use a flexalite adjustable fan controller and run all 3 fans off the controller. I've had the flexalite radiator and fan combo but it sucks and they only have a 90 day warranty and the fans wear out fast and the radiators leak in the same spot. I saw they redesigned their radiator but they lost my business. I did purchase their controller because it runs 3 fans though. We bypassed the transmission cooler part of the radiator and run a big trucool 40k transmission cooler on both it's a low pressure drop cooler.

We had to warranty one of our mishimoto radiators it was no problem at all, sent them a picture or short video of the leak and had to pay 30 dollars shipping to get the replacement didn't have to waste money on shipping sending the old one back.

@martinbuilt

It all depends. If you live in a very hot climate, you may want to go with the Mishimoto radiator. Otherwise, you could just go with the OEM replacement. The Champion leaks because it's cheaply made.

so if aluminum radiator leak why change from the plastic ends one.

Well, the 4.0 has a tendency to run a little on the warm side due to the poor design of the radiator, so by adding more cores with the aluminum radiator, the engine will run cooler.

I use torques pro to read the sensors through the obdii. The issue I have been having is the dash gauge shows quite a difference than the app. Today I installed a bosch temp sensor currently into the bleed valve until I get the spacer for the hose. Have you ever noticed a difference in the dash to your sct or torque if you have used it? Took it for a drive after and the new gauge never went above 210 but the app showed like 217.
