Hi, Would you recommend Nfep over fep for any printer? Is there a huge difference between the 2?

to what note should the fep be tuned to, e3?

I followed this technique for my sonic mini and the FEP is too tight - I have prints that fail because the fep does not flex enough

I've watched loads of youtube tutorials now and I keep getting it too tight, did you every find a solution?

I wish other manufacturers would design their vats in the same manner, the only other system is a pain in the...you know what. So, you were going to share your resin settings in Lychee for Anycubic ABS-like resin. Can you still do that? Would much appreciate it, Thanks in advance.

@@HobbyistLife Wait... lift speed 240? Lowering 320? That's like the vroom setting ppl. have been using on their Saturns. Is that right? Doesn't that void warranty from the manufacturer? I'm just asking if that is correct, the speeds... and what is ur UV power at?

Is the FEP size 200x140?

Yes, it's 200x140, it's the standard for 5.5-6 in screens. Hope it helps!

I am someone with a Sonic Mini 4k that has been hell, can you tell me about your prints? Do large flats have finger nail catching lines? Does your unit stab your FEP, leaving both real stretch dents and impressions of supports? Do models tear free from supports despite being heavily supported? Do larger full plate prints show results that seem to indicate uneven exposure across plate? Just trying to get as much information together before I go after Phrozen support. I had my printer 9 days before the plastic threads on the T-plate failed and jammed. But it seems there is more going on with my machine than just those threads.

@@HobbyistLife mine was running great and now it's failing even with the great settings you gave me in the FB group. I guess I'll throw Nfep on today and see if it helps

Hi, did you ever change anything for better results? I recently got a mini 4k as well and seem to have the same signs.

@@tatankaplays2137 yes reinforced arm and braces for the rail. But the motor had too much slop in the z-axis and would also need replacement, and the top plate where the screen is, is the only structure and it is thin aluminum, so even with bracing it still flexes under load. Pretty much have to replace top plate, brace rail, replace build plate armature, replace stepper motor and rod with higher grade parts to get the machine "in spec" to what is advertised. Which costs about as much as the printer does new, about 300 usd in parts

@@meatybtz Oof, not what I'm expecting as a newbie and a beginner friendly printer. Thanks for the info! I hope I won't need it.

@@tatankaplays2137 it "works" without but you may have lines or print errors, works fine for figures but anything where dimensions matter will be off, flat surfaces will have distinct lines as the layers are offset from each other.
