This is such a great video - thank you very much. I’ve watched this about a half dozen times as reference while changing out struts (my first time) on an 09 SX4. Unfortunately, despite your great advice and care to attention, I still ended up stripping out the little hex bolt on the stabilizer link. I’m trying to figure out how to get past this, as the bottom link bolt is *very hard to get to, and I’ve managed to round off the nut... I may have to cut it out. I sure wish there was a better design for this part.

Clear and concise! The two strut bolts alter camber then? I guess toe should be fine. Side note- i cast your video to TV and my dad has dementia and he was so impressed by the speed (fast forward) of you installing the nut on top, lol!

Very familiar with this year and model. My youngest daughter has an '08 Suzuki. Leaking rear axle seals are a known problem with this car. Her struts were still good with 89K on the clock.

Hey Jim, on that stabilizer link, couldn't you just run that center allen bolt in reverse while holding the nut with the wrench to remove it?

Really nice video Jim. I replaced both front struts on my elantra yesterday. Does alignment needs to be done after strut replacement? Do you recommend that? thank you.

If it is the same as the rear, you should be able to use the open end of a 14mm wrench to hold the bolt right behind the "wall" of the strut mount.
