Our November NIFE (Northern IL Fiero Enthusiasts) meeting, held in the dealer service department of Rock Chevrolet in Grayslake, IL, dealt mostly with the replacement of a deteriorated Fiero headliner.
Cleaning the deteriorated foam off the headliner panel once you strip the fabric off is a messy job, but replacement fabric is available at Jo-Ann Fabrics!
This job was complicated by the fact that the subject Fiero, owned by member Bill Klicker, had a sunroof and a high-mounted rear brake light, both of which involve cutouts in the headliner panel. Three cutouts, including the giant hole necessitated by the sunroof opening, makes the entire headliner panel more fragile. If you have a sunroof-less Fiero, there is only one cutout (for the front overhead light console all Fieros have) and the task of tucking the edges of the fabric into the sunroof opening is eliminated.
