Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. Today I'm going to show you what to do when an adenium plant is unable to bear the weight of its own branches and how to trim the roots and repot the plant.
Today's video is really very important to me. When I started planting adenium, I lost a few plants because I didn't know how to repot, what should be the soil media and how long I needed to wait between uprooting and planting.
At first, you have to uproot the plant gently. Then remove the media and wash it under running water.
Let the plant dry naturally or use tissue paper to soak all the water before trimming the roots and the branches.
As always, sanitize the blade first then cut the branches. Apply fungicide power on cutting areas to avoid fungal infection.
Now, You have to trim those unnecessary small roots in order to get a clean coudex. Apply fungicide on roots as well and let it dry in a shade.
After Two days, when the cutting area gets dry, plant the adenium on the same soil or you can add some new organic fertilizers to the media. I prefer to use old media because that's really expensive to buy new media every time.
After planting, water it thoroughly. But don't water on the branches. And one more quick tip: don't water until the soil media completely dries. Adenium needs significantly less water when they don't have leaves.
We need a soil media that drains all the water almost immediately. Now keep the pot in the shade for 8 to 10 days. Bring out in the sun gradually. Pruning will multiply branches and the plant will look mature and bushy. happy gardening.
