May be a silly question…I have about 5 monstera plants that I got from a single propagation cutting. None of them have small leaves. Every time it grows a leaf is shoots out a big one. I see many other plants that have many small leaves, why is that?

It's not a silly question. From your explanation it looks like you are doing everything right. Smaller leaves tend to occur if there is an issue. Small leaves tend to occur when the plant is conserving energy in low light conditions.

Only just found your channel. Monstera is my favourite houseplant, I have 4 as I’m desperate to find and grow a large form . I currently have my newest monstera that I’m hoping, and been told, is a large form which needs repotting. I couldn’t help noticing you didn’t use any perlite or bark when you repotted. What’s your thoughts on potting mixes ? Thank you 🙏

Hi, I use a peat-free potting mix that contains wood fibres rather than perlite. This helps with both the air and water balance in the soil. You can add some perlite for extra drainage, but it is not essential.
