Today I was having a hard time rescribing raised panel lines on a Revell stuka junkers ju 87G, recently I purchased my Tamiya scriber 1 but I did not have idea about how to use it. But your tutorial was really great. Now I know how to work with it. Thanks so much!!

Very interesting video, thanks 4 share, I have another technique without lots of work and you achieve not the same results but the product you get si also nice, you don't have to get rid of the raised panel lines, the only tools you will need are non-reusable fountain pen and a steady hand and see..

Your content is great but the music is driving me up the wall. It is not necessary as well. Just say what you are doing and you won’t need music.

How fine is the sanding stick you're using here? About to employ this on the old monogram 1/48 B-17!

I'm working on 2 original 1983 Monogram 1/72 B-1B bombers right now and am having difficulty with contoured panel lines on the main fuselage as the Dymo tape does not curve. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you overcome that issue if you've run into it. Great tutorial btw!!! :)

Hey Tim, thank you for your nice words. Well at this point you're right. The dymo tape will not curve very good. I'd take some electrical tape and put two stripes over eachother. That tape is more thick than masking tape and flexible, so you can bend it better in shape. Oh and good luck with your B1's ;)

Thanks for sharing. You are wrong about trumpeter scriber though, works the best by pulling, not by pushing. Cheers!

Hey Tu Mama, I have to apologize. I said the wrong word in my video. I have to change it. I ment DYMO TAPE. Here is a link from Amazon if you need it. www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B07ZRFFG2X/ref=sr_1_19?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=9SBHHHVM2FHR&keywords=dymo+tape&qid=1642895299&sprefix=dymo+tape%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-19

There for I just use Tamiya's Curved Tape. It's probably not the best way to do it and as good as dymo tape but it works for me.

I make little vertical cuts with scissors along the length of the dymo tape so it is more flexible to follow the curved line

why not just scribe along the raised line, then sand the raised line off.

you do realize recessed panel lines are as wrong as raised ones right? Plates are welded or riveted together there is no gap and no shadow, except where the 2 do not meet perfectly in some cases. This argument must stop now everyone is doing it wrong for the wrong reasons.

sure, but tell me which is easier to repair after sanding and filling? this is a good tutorial for those looking at building an older raised panel kit and wanting to repair details, so everyone but you may be wrong but that doesn't mean this info isn't useful.
