Very informative video. I had Waroc from ecauinera and the roots are very bad. My poor Anthurium lives like 1.5 years without roots. I don't know what i can do. It grow really sloooowwww. It is in sphagnum moss, i hoped that becomes roots. Not working since months. What can i doo? I have healthy roots, i can see it, but they are not activated. I don't know how i can activate it. Can you give me tipps? The inactivated roots touched by the moss. They get water. Oh it is in a prop box, with a lot of humidity too!

I am not holding out too much hope for my anthurium plant. How often should i re-water? How long do you recommend i wait for new roots before i call it quits? I was thinking of waiting for about 2-3 weeks for new roots in the leca.

Dont give up on it, they are slow growers but they definitely make a come back. I just rescues another one. I basically water it when the water has evaporated. I rescued another anthurium in an orchid like potting mix and just watered it when the medium would dry out. It took several months but the plant is now doing good.

It did well for a long time but I ended up gifting it away because it was growing really slow like all anthuriums. But if you have thrips I really do recommend the product I used, I haven’t had any thrips issues at all for over half a year now.
With anthuriums I don’t really recommend water because they can easily rot. If you don’t have leca try sphagnum moss that’s lightly damped. Usually what I do is a soak the sphagnum moss completely and then squeeze out all of the water and fluff it out so it gets airy and loose and it’s not compact and then I just put it in a cup with a drainage hole and place the anthurium inside and never let the moss dry out. You could also put inside a glass cloche so that the moss doesn’t dry out and you don’t worry about it as much
