Thanks! I'm struggling with the music volume spiking during them. I think I'll just have music at the start and end going forward. lol

Just wondering, I see you change out your ceramic media to avoid cross contamination, I do this with plastic pellets; however, I’ve not notice the need to do it with ceramics. Did you find this helps, did you experience a contamination? Thanks. Love your videos!

Actually, it was trial and error. I found that for me personally, keeping the ceramics stage specific for the quantity that I do (12 barrels a week typically) it just helps reduce any potential issues. One less variable when trying to identify a problem with a batch. lol

For this particular video of tumbling Picasso Jasper which vendor did you use to buy it and the price per pound and if there's a minimum, and also how big were the pieces before tumbling?

I think it came from Stonebridge or Kingsly North. I bought it a couple years ago, so I have no idea what I paid for it. The pieces where typical for tumbling rough.

I have just been talking to someone who believes that Picasso jasper is not a jasper at all, but a type of marble. With a Mohs hardness of just 3, this would explain why you lost so much volume in the first stage. If it were jasper, you would not have had the same degree of rounding, in my opinion.

When I was doing this project, I reported what the vendor claimed the stone to be. In future videos, I'll do a bit more research to verify what sellers claim. Unfortunately, not all vendors are reputable, and this makes a learning moment for everyone! Thanks!
