That kind of defense is very hard to execute offense.if you make more fluid and prepared for that defense.you can control the tempo the offense of the other team.Very Good Job Sir.

Amazing! But our team traps the low post with the forward and the center.While trapping, the guards are responsable for the kickout pass and the premiter players.it's that Ok?

+游柏仁 thanks for the comment! Every coach may employ a different trapping tactic. I like to send the opposite top guard because (1) it takes away the easy kick out pass and (2) the low post doesn’t see the trap coming from the top guard. In the scenario you described where you trap the low post with the forward and center, what do you do when the low post entry comes from the baseline corner, and your trapping forward is already guarding the outside player making the entry pass? That’s the specific scenario your vulnerable against.

hey, coach- quick question: At 1:40, you basically leave the high post uncovered.. how would you guard the low-high pass ? especially if the high post cuts to the basket?

good job! what happens when the low post pass comes from the high post?
@CoachRuss

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. What happens when the low post entry pass comes from the high post while running a 2-3 zone? First, we've failed at denying both the entry into the high post (which is a key element in running a successful 2-3), then, we've failed in covering the high-low pass. If the pass does enters the post from the high post, it's typically the 5's responsibility for coverage. You probably won't see this too often since the 2-3 zone already congests the middle around the basket; making any pass or dribble penetration difficult. I hope that helps you.
