The missing point is the temperature differential with the surroundings. Practically 18C will lose cooling quickly to the surroundings compared to 26C. So AC condenser will kick back after each 8 minutes or 6 minutes or less minutes depending on the surroundings temprature i.e. specially walls and roof temperature. The above example is only true if the insulation of the room is extremely efficient which is not possible with brick and mortar walls and concrete roofs. My suggestion is 26 to 28C, the right temp to select. Otherwise you will be busted

You missed one very important thing in calculation. 26 say 28 k bech main temperature maintain karnay k liye agar ac 10 min chalta aur 10 min band rehta hai to 16 say 18 k beech main maintain karnay k liye 15 min chalay ga aur 5 min band rahay ga kun k bahar k temperature say farq ziada honay ki waja say ac ko ziada kaam karna paray ga. So sirf starting main ni poori raat ac ko ziada kaam karna hoga

ON THE OTHER HAND 26C TO 28C WILL TAKE MORE TIME TO REACH, AND AC COMPRESSOR WILL REMAIN OFF MORE TIME, AND WILL RUN LESS TIME TO ACHIVE 26C IN A NON INVERTER AC.

exactly right some rooms will not be able to reach even 18C due to many reasons...so the compressor will keep on working and increasing your bill... the explanation may be true only in ideal situation which may be impossible.

Is the temperature you feel is not relative to the external atmosphere? For Example if the external temperature is 35, and internal is 30, you will get relief although you are above the room temperature? Also will it not take more energy to lower down the temperature from 20 to 18 rather than 28 to 26? (Asking)

i have one 1.5 ton inverter ac. ran on 26 degree for past month and bill is 48 thousand rupees. 747 Units in total. The other room with separate meter has 1 ton inverter ac , ran on 28 degrees for past month and bill is 15 thousand.

26 to 28 is ideal... You missed high differential temp on 16 .... Higher the delta t higher wastage of electricity...I think running a on 16 is like buying disease with own money...

environments of each room has some leakage which is directly proportional to inner and outer temperature difference, so leakage of 26 to environment and leakage of 18 to same environment cannot be same , both ac after one hour cannot run at same speed. so ac with 18 will have more leakage hence will consume more electricity.

Due high difference in out foor and indoor difference 18 degrees AC will loose heat quickly and it will cut in before 26 degree AC and trip later. So compressor cut in difference in AC have 26 setpont will run less time than Ac have 18 gedree Set point.

I have an inverter 1.5 ac with t3 compressor 26 per ye aik hour Mai half unit se bhi km leta ha. I also use a dc fan to enjoy faster cooling. During monsoon or humid weather use dehumidification mode to enjoy better cooling always.

AC will never cool down room to 18C. 1 ghanta to kya, sari raat bhi chalta rahey phir bhi room temperature 18 nahi hoga. Theory to bahut achi hai per ek dafa practical ker kay dekh lein. The only way AC can achieve 18C is if a 2 ton AC is installed in a room that requires 1.5 ton, or room is very small for the AC, or if outdoor temperature is already low. In normal summer weather it is not possible.

The missing point is that whether your AC room walls and ceiling is in shaded area. I live on 2ond floor with bare ceiling and 2 walls affected by sunlight. My 1 ton inverter AC hardly stops at 26 degrees

Its only theoretical assumptions. Practically the scenario may be totally different. It is not possible that AC will consume same power or same time in lowering down temperature from 20 to 18 and from 28 to 26. I think if it takes 10 minutes to lower it from 28 to 26 then it will take double time while lowering it from 20 to 18. Anyway, practical demonstration may verify everything.

totally agreed, ye bhai sirf theoretical scenario pakar k chal rhe he. Even theoretical b pura nahi kia . Koi thermodynamics k principles ka khayal nahi kia. even ac ko 25 se 24 karne me b unka ON/OFF time me bohat farq aajata hai, jo mene practically check kia hai

privious month my ac was dirty cooling was very low i kept it on 16 and fan speed on high it last my bill was 12084. then i clean the ac and now kept on 28 and auto now bill will decrease?

پہلے گھنٹے میں بائیس پر چلائیں اور پھر چوبیس پر پوری رات چلنے دیں تاکہ آپکا بل بھی انڈر کنٹرول رہے اور اے سی کا صحیح لطف بھی ملے ۔
