Sounds like a simple issue right? Wrong, in as much as the knife line adds layout precision it can sometimes be a problem when sawing since the saw is drawn into the knife line and splits the line thereby removing a bit of material on the keep side of the line. In this excerpt from a Hand Tool School lesson I show how I saw precisely next to the line.
This lesson is a good example of the more than 600 lessons available as a member of The Hand Tool School. But not just a pile of random lessons. I curate lessons together into structured classes that will help you improve a skill. Sometimes I will build a project that specifically targets a type of joinery. Its all part of the magic that is The Hand Tool School.
