I’ve learned that it’s better to make you’re own closure. I kept asking the person to give me a reason why they are leaving me , despite them telling me and not ignoring me. I still kept asking for more kept questioning them and begging. Until I realized that I just want to hear them tell me something that I want to hear which isn’t possible for them. So I eventually stopped and created closure for myself.

As I have gotten older I have realised how important saying goodbye is, no matter how hard it’s going to be. I say this as sometimes unfortunately that last goodbye is actually in reality the last goodbye, as that particular person may have passed since the last time you saw them. Sad, yes but unfortunately very true for myself and a lot of people, especially during this virus pandemic.

My thoughts on endings: As much as I ideally would like a healthy and long conversation at the end of each relationship I end, thats not always the case. When theres never really been healthy communication in a realtionship or the phenomenon of „drifting apart from eachother“ happened due to long distance situations or sth similar, its hard to voice or even distinguish where and when you want the realtionship to end. If both partners are fine with an open end, then thats fine. But we must remember that people are not places. While places do not have feelings themselves and we dont have to care about the counterpart, can always quit without hurting anybody, in relationships thats simply not the case. Both sides should have a say in what they want. If you want an open end, at lesdt be thoughtful enough to tell the other person and let them know, maybe even listen to what they want the ending to be like.

"Simply said, you leave someone when you cannot do anything more with them and you cannot function together in the world. If you are looking at relationships without sentimentality, if you are looking objectively, this is obvious. If you can do no more together, you cannot be together. You will feel complete. You will still love each other and appreciate each other. Perhaps there will be anger and resentment because of disappointment. However, the relationship is complete. If you have a sense of purpose in life which you have identified and you experience yourself participating in it, the question of when to leave someone will become clear. This is not based upon whether you like someone or not. It is not based upon judgment of the other person at all. There is no judgment or condemnation here. It is simply that you cannot go any further together, and the attempt to go further is detrimental to both of you. The love remains. The gratitude will remain as well, once it is recognized. It is very difficult to leave someone based upon truth and honesty, for you must give up many of your ideals to do this. What has failed here but your idealism? The great exception to this is if your relationship has true promise and you are not meeting its requirements. How can you tell the difference? Are you leaving or quitting? Knowledge is the difference. Knowledge will tell you to leave when it is time to leave. How could you remain in a relationship if your Knowledge is taking you somewhere else?" From the exceptional book "Relationships and Higher Purpose" - Chapter 14, "Completing Relationships". It's free online at newmessage(dot)org. this question surprised me. my relationship ended like a slow dying candle & with just one gust of wind, it was out. funny enough i prepped my self for two days till our "closure talk" i was across the country. even though he apologized & months down the line reached out like nothing, i still feel the pain coming in like waves. and maybe its just because it was my first relationship or maybe on how blunt he ended things but i can't seem to feel like i got my proper goodbye or the answers to my questions. and i hate how twisted that is, what if time doesn't do what it's suppose to do? what if i never get over him? it comes down to just nurturing myself & accepting that maybe you won't always get a goodbye that's perfect for you, that closes the chapter perfect in a neat bow. no goodbye is ever like that...

Life is full of first hellos. Your baby, your love, your friends. There comes a point in life, after the birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, awards, when goodbyes are missed. A friend's passing, a failed relationship, an employer seperation. Goodbye is for the prepared, life doesn't prepare you for most endings. Life isn't a well written movie. Most of what life is, is a host of missed opportunities to say goodbye. Good luck.🙃

Sometimes u hv to choose between a place that has nothing left or a place where nothing is going right. Love suppose to fill you up not tear you down. Its sweet as it is also bitter. It helps u grow but sometimes it just withet. U r lucky if u hv found the one for u. But for me as i enter my 30s next yr i guess ill hv to see when it comes. Never be afraid to love and spread love. Fan from 🇵🇭😘😍
