Good stuff!... And what will happen if there is a seam on the side of the t-shirt, it probably will not pass. I think it will need a little gap in the palette.

Great question, and I'm glad you asked. You would need a custom pallet that will allow the seam to fall into, or you will just have to print shirts without a seam.

Awesome video/class on printing it's good that you took the job when no other shop would take and you learned from it.. how did you line it all up I would like to learn that and I'm sorry if you did show it.. but I would really like to know how you got it to line up perfectly..
@mikeydesignssilkscreen473
4 жыл бұрын
I wish I would have got that, but I basically would put the shirt on press, lower the black screen, and see where the print is landing. I would then adjust from there until it is as close as possible.

I have a design I’d like to do inspired by a map with a “you are here” pin on the front of the shirt and the dashed line traveling around the Side to the destination on the back.. is that something I should avoid or is it doable with this method?

Hello, how many times can i use the same screen? The screen has a expiration date or a usage limit?

Until the emulsion get worn-out. Even then you can tape the warn places. You're looking at around 2k pieces.

hahahaha i thought I knew that machine. its the same as mine. I just thought about something im going to have to try. What if you were to use the screen sideways ? I may have to make a pallet turned sideways to match, and try that.

Hell why would i be scared to try something different when i screw up the easy stuff already? lol. As i was first getting started doing printing, my first design was all halftones i learned with. I knew the design i wanted, but should have done something simple to start with. That being said, halftones dont scare me , and to be honest, to me a halftone design was not the problem when i was learning, it was getting exposure times dialed in that kicked my ass.

@mikeydesignssilkscreen473

@@smarttech559 We used soft style Gildan tees in the video. That's kind of a middle of the road shirt. A higher end shirt would be a Bella, Next Level... anything that's close to $4 a blank. SofStyles are about $2.25. A Gildan 2000 / 5000 would be a lower end shirt.
