In this video we will go over fixing a faulty seadoo fuel baffle from a 97 GTX 787 ski.
A common issue is the old style cork float where the magnet falls off and usually stick to the bottom of the baffle board, resulting in always reading Empty on the gauge. Replace this old float with the newer plastic style one for about $15-20.
Next you need to use a multimeter to OHM test the board. You'll need a good float for this. Connect your multimeter leads to the wires and move the float up and down to see if it reads between 0 and 8 or 9 as it goes up and down. If it doesn't have a reading, then the F1 fuse may be bad. Some older baffles don't have this fuse and thus are not repairable.
You'll use a dremel to cut open the tube and solder over the F1 fuse.
Then use your meter to test again.
