He's kinda not. Every other FOX tech video out there uses 10 cc of oil for the air-spring side since that's the manufacturer recommended amount.

So today I wanted to change rebound on a mag32 manitou fork of 7yo. As I turned the rebound adjuster, the entire left spring and dampner came out. All in what looked like rusty water. I might need a new fork instead of servicing it...
@SiriusCFD

Considering the importance he put on using the "correct amount of oil", it's a bit ridiculous that he put the wrong amount in the air side bath. By the air side top-cap this looks like a regular 2016-2017 36 Float (probably a 170-180 mm model), which according to any Fox oil volume chart from 2015-2019 uses a 10 cc oil volume in the air-spring bath side and 30-40 cc in the damper side (depending on the damper type or travel). Only the Talas model uses 30 cc in the air-spring bath. According to Fox, overdoing it with the oil in the bath can cause damage to internals during the compression of the uppers into the lowers and spewing of oil through the seals.

Actually I'm curious about this one as well. Just changed the oil in my Fox 36 Factory 2016 model and this video gave me a hard time figuring out what's the correct oil volume

I looked up my fork on Fox website (2021 Fox 34 Rhythm 130mm), they mention 3 oil volumes: air-side bath, air chamber, and damper-side bath. I didn't see him put "air chamber oil" anywhere, should it be done at the same time? Also : Fox recommends different oils in my left/air and right/damper sides (20WT "Gold" and 5WT+PTFE respectively), should I soak each ring in the oil type for its side, or should I soak both in the thicker 20WT since they're effectively doing the same thing : lubricate the stanchions without taking part in the actual damping.

Hello Guys, I really enjoy watching your videos and tutorials, given me a lot Ideas doing my service. I only got one question regarding the lower leg service on Fox or Rockshox forks. You mentioned only to change the foam rings and only check the top seals. How do I get those rings without buying the top seal aswell. All suppliers only sell sets. Kind regards and please carry on as you do. Axel

"Don't re-use foam rings". Well, since my fork seal kit order is taking ages to arrive, I decided to reuse them anyway. They were quite dirty, but after soaking them in WD40, then gentle water-based de-greaser, rinse, gentle squeeze and blow-dry, they came out looking like new. I also reused the crush washers, they're just a bit of hard plastic, why throw them away if they're not damaged?

Everything functions properly kzitem.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of KZitem. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
