It would be great to see more progress on this. I am perpetually amazed at the many ways people teach the Bargue drawing process.

I print them out on 8.5 x 11" size for pencil copies, and 18x24" for charcoal copies.

OK, I see the 90-degree triangle is now being used. But what about using a clear millimeter ruler to measure rather than the string? String seems like it could be inaccurate.

He is using 50 lb test which he said does not stretch. 50 lb test is a Fishing line that should not break with less than 50 lb of handing off of it. It can be bought at fishing or sports stores in the US.

@@SusanATroutman I think what she means it that doing it 'by eye' doesn't guarantee that you'll get a correct plumb line. You'd either need a compass or a triangle. I suppose that if you use a triangle to do your low and high lines, then you won't miss the plumb line.

A clear ruler is certainly an option for measuring. The string allows you to check quickly and accurately, but it certainly is not the only way to check yourself
