yes this is the newer controller and mine as well, two videos online show this. The OC1 mode is the first time Ive seen anyone show this and Id love to see those instructions you have. One tip is the lean run mountains version to save fuel, push the two left side buttons and hold and the mountain icon comes on and slows the pump feed. I'll check your links for more info. Thanks again.

Isn’t it dangerous or risking to bad combustion ? It’s the mode to use when we are in altitude ?
@grahamhalson3073

@@starcmilien I suppose it depends on what fuel you use .. kerro burns cleaner or you could as a clean out run it for a while on high to burn out the carbon build up ..and dangerous...I don't follow what you mean ... alpine mode is quite safe...

I did not have to sync the remote at all. Bought two of these and they were both already programed to operate the controller they came with by juts hitting the buttons as desired for up down and on off.

Thank you for this!! Already very helpful. However, we are still struggling with the heater. We keep on getting a lot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. It seems like we continue to have air bubbles in our fuel pipe, even though we've primed it a number of times and disconnected/connected the pump. Any idea on how to fix this?

For activating the remote control you have to go to this OC1 (with the up button you can install more remote's, OC2, OC3 etc) When you see OC1 in this case you only have to press on one of the buttons of the remote control and you'll see, everything works. Be aware, some of those equipments are delivered without an inserted battery!! So your first control is looking if the little led light burns when you press one of the buttons!

Be careful using the priming function if you have a long fuel line with no fuel in it because you will be priming a dry fuel pump and this will put excessive ware on it. It is better to manually prime the line up to the pump first. Just disconnect the line at the tank side of the pump and let the fuel bleed through then connect up again and start the heater as normal u won't even have to prime it as long as the pump is within a foot or so from your heater.

Press setting button. Click ok through the time setting until you get “1 on” appear. Click ok then set the on time. Click ok.
