I think it would be good to say that a few things that you are showing are not offered with the basic (free) plan, like the Milestones or the date range, for instance. Other than that, it's pretty useful! :)

These videos are really helpful. I have a quick question, can you specify which section a task goes into when generating the task from Gmail?
@minor-co

I'm afraid not. This is a limitation of the Gmail extension I'm afraid.

Hi Paul ~As a business owner Can I see other team members task -witch means what they are working on ? Instead just my own task? Thank you
@minor-co
3 жыл бұрын
Yes. It depends on the privacy settings of projects and teams. But yes you can set up public projects where you can see everyone's tasks. Although, technically there is nothing stopping people from setting up their own private project (e.g. for personal stuff) that you wouldn't be able to see.

On any particular project, is it project the "set" the view so it stays in place when I return eg I viewed the project content as boards, then went bak to the project and its defaulted back to list

After you change the project view, you can click the three dots and save the new layout as your default.

Do you have the update Asana version set up Is Asana work for logistics task and repeated job per month?

I'm always using the most up to date version. It just updates in the browser when you load the page. Yes, it's great for regularly recurring work and logistical tasks.

great video Paul. I've got a project setup up into multiple major "Sections" similar to the example you've initially used here. Is there a way to then operate using Kanban (similar to the second example you use) - or is it either / or??
@minor-co
3 жыл бұрын
What you could do is set up your sections as the Kanban columns (e.g. To do, in progress, Done) then use a custom field for what you're currently using as sections. That way, in the list view you could sort by this custom field. But in the board view you could sort by section (i.e. Kanban). Hope that makes sense

These features have moved since I made the video. So 'Progress' is now set under the 'Overview' tab. And 'Forms' live under the 'Customize' menu.

When you're in the list view, on the right-hand side, click the + icon to create a new column (requires Premium or higher)

I'm setting up a new project which is a rolling research project (repeats monthly) and thinking after watching this that the standup of the program is a separate project from the monthly execution in terms of Asana Projects....thoughts? I'm conflicted as to whether to two two projects or one 😕
@minor-co

If it were me, I'd try and do everything in one project if I can. Could you not have a 'Standup' section in the main rolling project?

hey paul, awesome video! i am a one man show business in the personal development field. what would be the benifits for using the premium version?

If you need to do more sophisticated project management and need features like the timeline, dependencies, milestones and custom fields then the Premium is a great fit.
