I have the parts ordered and I will be building my first new PC since 2009... WOW how things have changed. I'm having to learn about NVMe drives and other new hardware. I was going to buy a Mac Studio, but after watching a lot of your videos, I've decided that I want to have full control over every component used in the system. I do not want to be locked into 1 configuration with no road to update or upgrade, so thanks for helping me make what I feel is the best decision. My i9 - 12900KS and my RTX 3080 Ti arrived today. The rest should be in tomorrow for a full, start from scratch build. Thank you for your videos.

Good job... as usual. It's refreshing to see another source other than the usual gaming build channels. I realize that OC may be frowned upon for video editing. As a product designer... whose primary tool is SolidWorks, single core performance is important... OC makes sense. I enabled Asus AI OC on my 12900k build with Cinebench R23 scores of... Multi core: 27868, Single core: 2070 @ 5.5GHz. So far, I'm pleased with the performance bump and see no down side. I've also tinkered with the FanXpert4 AI in the Armoury Crate with mixed results... mainly because I want one fan at 100% all the time to maintain positive internal pressure... and the UI isn't all that intuitive. Other than that It seems to work well. That being said, setting up the fans once in the bios like you did and forgetting about it makes sense. Your audience has diverse computing goals... I'm thinking that an Asus AI segment would likely interest your viewers, regardless of their particular goals.

Hi! Thanks so much for this great video. As a result, I have built a system to this spec, and have followed your instructions. All is good but one BIG problem is that the Thunderbolt driver will not work. First Windows 11 installation, it worked fine initially, with external RAID drives connected. Then they disappeared when rebooted - they were showing as not connected, Code 45, hidden in Device Manager. With some random fiddling it came back, but then went again. After a clean Windows reinstallation, I cannot get the Thunderbolt driver to install at all - it is showing as a hidden USB connection, although the driver says it is Thunderbolt. Do you please have any advice? Anyone else had this problem? (We need it to complete our latest movie!) Thanks!

I think it might be because of the raid Drivers. Let me guess your drives aren't showing up on windows installation. To fix this- Go to the intel raid drivers site and download the driver (whql for intel) Put it in a thumb drive it can be on your installation media too. During partition table click search for drivers and browse the raid driver and install. Now your all driver will show.
