Think about it, isn't that the truth with a lot of tutorial videos? These videos themselves are edited, so we're doing it in real time. Of course we have to keep pausing, and that's okay! I do the same thing with drawing tutorials, makeup, etc. It's fine to go at your own pace, don't let a video rush you! You can do this!! I believe in you little sewing fairy!

Yeah, it was pretty fast. That said, I don't think going slower would have helped me any. If anything it probably would have made it harder to find the information I need once I get lost in the process. I mean, all of the information seems to be there. It's just a matter of pausing at certain points where you/I get lost in the process.

At 2.32 ish, when you’re putting the bobbin in and threading it through, where does the thread go???
@CraftsyYouTube

That's a good question. After Angela drops the bobbin in and wraps the thread around to the small blade that cuts off the excess thread, the bobbin thread sits under the throat plate until the needle takes the first stitch, then the needle thread will bring the bobbin thread up to the top of the throat plate.

@101perspective
4 жыл бұрын
I'm new to this but I think it depends on how often you use the needle and the material you are using. I know she briefly mentions in the video that you should change it out when you notice it skipping stitches. She said "often" though. I suspect her use of the machine is probably a tad more than my own though. For her often probably means weekly... possibly even daily... I have no idea. For me it will probably be yearly...lol.
