Thanks for the video. I got some rings which i wanted to anchor to a door. Its the second type lf buckle in thw video. However when i pull the ring or lay weight in it the entire buckle moves. Was wondering if there is a fix for this or if its not possible with This buckle. Thank you ☺️
@BodyweightProcess
3 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming you’re using a pull up bar on a door? Does it unbuckle when you apply weight? If so the strap was either fed wrong through the buckle or the quality of the buckle is low. If it’s just a loose feeling then the buckle is of low quality. I’ve never been a fan of the Type 2 buckle, but they should still work well depending on the quality. Let me know how it goes. Thank you for watching!!
@Tolseren

@@BodyweightProcess kzitem.info/news/bejne/r65q0n18kIaIlX4 I tried to do what he is doing in this video but i guess it doesnt work with this buckle because I end up pulling both straps and one of them starts pulling the buckle towards me. I guess you have to anchor it so you only apply weight to one lf them?
@Tolseren

@@BodyweightProcess but maybe it would work if I used the pull up bar as you said.
@BodyweightProcess
3 жыл бұрын
@@Tolseren ahh I see, the same concept should work regardless of the buckle as long as you create a solid knot prior to closing the door. Try it out again, follow the method for type two without an anchor point, test to see if the buckles are locked, if so then follow that guys steps for creating a solid knot and placing it behind the door. If one of the buckles still comes towards you and you know for sure it’s right, then that buckle is faulty. Cool method though if you don’t have access to a bar at home. Hope it works out!

It just comes down to preference. There’s nothing wrong with it I just don’t prefer it in terms of the way you have to feed the strap through the buckle, slightly annoying and not as simple as Type 1. Regardless, as long as it’s sturdy and works well you’re good 👍🏼

Didn't think this would help me much but the fact that the strap could go out of the buckle that easily if set up from the wrong direction was helpful to see instead of experience. What I struggle with is making sure the rings are even. Wish I had gotten a numbered strap.

Ok so I wanna hung up 2 punching bags in one location on garage and on other side of garage rings and climbing rope, my ceilings only 8ft high so climbing rope will be use for other exercises. I will be using a 2x4 or maybe 2x6 board across maybe 3 joist for punching bags. I have a strut channel which will be attach to boards 2x4 or 2x6 board. For the rings and rope they will be mounted on a rogue ring hunger which I will attach to a board too. I been using lag bolts to hung up stuff from ceiling, however people have been saying to use GRK RSS14312HP RSS HandyPak 1/4 by 3-1/2-Inch Structural Screws which are easier and stronger than the lag bolts and don't have to predrill?? Will these grk be good to mout weight pegs on wall or lag bolts will be better for this?
