What a great setup video! Clear and quick and showing and naming each piece/card type was nice. I don't have paladins, but honestly enjoyed the setup video. I am just excited to see any content. Setup videos like this one are kind of satisfying.

Appreciate that…. The reason I started the set up videos was because I played a game that I hadn’t played for about a year and I needed a little bit of help with the set up. It took me about 5 or 10 minutes to answer my question, so I decided to make these set up videos with timestamps for every aspect of the set up. If you like worker placement and Euro games, you should try one the West Kingdom games

Duly noted. Can you give me an example? The smallest games I’ve played is archaeology, Jaipur, skull Kings, cover your assets, one night werewolf, and Hanamikoji

Oh, I am gonna agree here. Small-ish travel size games. Box footprint about the same box size as jaipur or lost cities (LC still sorta big)

I feel like your explanations are pretty clear, would do well if you added a quick explanation of what each component is for during their setup. Not a deep rules teach but just a quick refresher for someone who has played before.

Spot on….Ill try to incorporate more of that in the videos

I’m enjoying these quick setup videos. You could add some rule refreshers or etc to them, but not enough to make the videos that much longer.

You are the second person to mention that. I’m going to see what I can do to incorporate more of that in my videos. Thanks

I like that idea. I walk into gameboard stores all the time and the only thing they have there that I would like is $80-$100. But there’s a lot of good and inexpensive games.

Hmmm maybe a list of games with the quickest setup times? Categorize them into genres too like dungeon crawler to set collection games.

Here’s the thing with solo games…I can’t get myself to play them….I’ve tried to talk myself into and can’t I did however buy my first solo only game to force myself to play ROME: Fate of an Empire (should arrive August of 2024) Maybe I’ll do it then.

I appreciate that. I have backed some crowd funded games from new designers that may not be well-known. And they will be arriving shortly. 1. Under the sun: should come around November or December this year. Under the sun is a cooperative nemesis like game that has to do with the apocalypse. 2. Everstone: should arrive in January 2025. This was recommended by Jaime Stagmair…. I believe it’s a friend of his. Everstone is an engine building euro that has you traveling around this world finding and fixing relics and building reputation.

So, i agree with small sized games..... OR two player games that are low-ish weight with max 40 mins playtime. Something to play when we have a few mins before bed or after a long day at work.

You have inspired me because I like 2 different types of games 1. Light weight family friendly games that I can play with my wife and kids 2. Medium to heavy strategy games that I play with my game group or drag my wife kicking and screaming 😆. The problem that I have, is that when I’m looking through kickstarter or gamefound for crowdfunded games I typically only look for the heavier games. You helped me evaluate that those are less likely to get to the table and I should buy some lighter games. So check these out and tell me what you think 1. Nanga Parbat & Biblios coming July of 2024 2. Cascadia rolling: Aug 2024 3. River valley glass works: sept 2024 I’ll be doing videos when they arrive Thanks for all your input

Lol. Drag my wife kicking and screaming! So, I remember being sort of interesting in river valley glass, because it has an otter... It also reminds me of Sagrada, but my husband isn't a huge fan of Sagrada. Nange parbat looks interesting. Cascadia (original I've heard good things about) but being cooperative is not my first choice. I do play cooperative, but not as often. I assume cascadia rolling is cooperative?! Wow, I just realized how picky I am!

On kickstarter now... vicious gardens looks interesting to me. Good dog bad zombie v2 will be coming soon. I looked at it before, but didn't pull the trigger. Maybe this is my time! I did back super boss monster. I think these are all still pretty light weight

My wife is really good at strategy games, but she doesn’t have the patience to learn new ones, but she will play harder games from time to time Cascadia rolling is a roll and write game based off the original. I don’t believe it’s a co-op game, but I’ll have to check. Cascadia it is one of our most played games BTW. You would enjoy it

I saw vicious gardens today. I really like the art and I’ll probably back it Last week I backed La Fluer,. Which is a garden game as well…. different art, but equally cool.
