Bought this one because the older version kzitem.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQ had was really choppy and would disconnect from the wifi ALOT, was not catching everything and every week j had to charge it. So far the picture quality on this one is exceptional. I also bought a solar panel with it so I will see how this all turns out.

How about showing how to do it with the wedge? Once the wedge mount is attached, it doesn't seem like a very tight fit when you then attach the rook doorbell. Nothing locks it in place. Anyone could pull it off. And if you don't use the wedge and simply attach to the wall plate as shown in the video, once the doorbell is attached and that tab just above the wire opening locks into place, how do you ever remove the doorbell from the house? From what I can see when I attach the two together (while not mounted) the only way to separate the two is by usining a flat screwdriver to lift that tab, which would be impossible to access once attached to the house. So I guess the installation is permanent??

Agreed. And maybe take into consideration that both every doorbell has a pre cut hole big enough for the wire nuts to shove back into the house, making it nearly impossible to actually use the wire nuts. So I guess "be prepared to cut a larger opening behind your existing doorbell" should be a step or sidenote.

We have a three wire home door bell chime. Your instructions show what to do with a two wire and not enough information about the third wire. If the trans wire is connected with the front wire the back doorbell doesn't work. Any information would help greatly. I didn't purchase the wirefree doorbell/camera and I'm really sorry.

So if I have 2 chime boxes or three instead of 2 wires? Thanks for mentioning in the video, then moving on and never saying a word more.

Like SO many vids I've watched, nothing at all about how to get the doorbell to send alerts to, or show video on, your TV that's paired to a Roku Ultra. Try to do it through the phone and it just goes to an a link to sign up for a monthly subscription. But according to what I've read on the website, you're SUPPOSED to be able to watch up to two cameras on TV without paying for a subscription.

Anyone know if not doing the chime fuse will mess anything up. Mine seems fine leaving the mechanical chime alone (though obviously it does not ring the mechanical chime). Maybe next version can make use of the mechanical chimes like other manufacturers. Relying on another wifi device for the chime is questionable as it can stop working and you would not have a clue.

Most routers in your home have dual bands. One is 2.5 Ghz and another is 5.Ghz. Your TVs and such connect to the 5 Ghz. Printers, etc need a slower band, and connect to 2.5Ghz. You need to set up your router to activate both bands. Once you do that your smart phone, where you go to "connection" in your settings will show both the 2.5Ghz (what ever you named it) and the 5 Ghz. Unless I am misunderstanding these videos, your doorbell camera and any other Roku cameras connect to 2.5Ghz, so you will have to click the 2.5Ghz on your phone and set them up through your smartphone and app on the 2.Ghz. Look up how to create dual bands on your router on KZitem.
