Hi Adam, I have the same model. Biggest problem is airlock in the jet system. Best to fill the hot tub by introducing the hose through the small filter outlet once guard is removed, thus removing air pockets whilst filling. Doing a back flush on pipes A and B also helps to clean pump, as will using a descale solution as needed. Just bought a ‘Hampson hydro scale away’ works fantastic. Also ideal due to lack of care by Bestways, is to have as spares, seals for A,B and C connections, seals for water pump and an Impeller, as these are notorious for going bad. Great videos mate hope my experience helps for your next videos. 👏😀

If you're using fresh tap water every time you use and only keeping it full for one day, then you might be able to get away with it. You'll still need to give it a good clean out between uses. The question is, do you want to share that water with multiple users? Without chlorine in the water, it's possible to pass bacteria etc onto each other.

@SailingAquila
3 жыл бұрын
You don't necessarily need to change the water. If you keep an eye on the chemicals, especially the chlorine, it will happily sit for a week or longer. The chemical levels usually don't change much when not in use, but it's best to test it the morning after use and add anything you need. A chlorine float can then ensure it stays clean.

Meant to come back to you about the calcification problem I had. Got a lot of help from the guys at Happy Hot Tubs. In a hard water area calcium builds up on the heater element. Putting the pump away last season and getting it out again this season dislodged the calcium into the hot tub making the water cloudy and leaving loads of deposits on the floor of the tub which was not getting to the filter even with clarifier added. Got some descaler from them which cleared it and cleaned the heater element. Maybe useful to know if you get a query from somebody in a hard water area. All the best.

Hello.. thank u for all the information. I have a question. Why can't u use a extension lead if u don't have power close by? This will determine if i will buy one or not. Thanks mate
@SailingAquila
2 жыл бұрын
The current drawn through it to heat the tub is too high. Using an extension cable is dangerous as they're not designed to carry that amount of electricity so there's a genuine risk of it overheating and causing an electrical fire. The safe way is to get an electrician to install a mains socket closer to where you want to locate the tub, or move the tub closer to an existing power supply.

Hello Adam, your videos have been very helpful thank you. I've just bought an Hawaii Hot Tub. I'm a lady on my own but I'm having a problem setting the temperature of the water while setting the heating and duration periods. I use it once a day. Obviously it loses it's temperature once I've used it to about 26 degrees. I set it at 40 then do the timer settings, but it continues to indicate 26 degrees instead of 40. So once the timer is set it flashes to show timer is on but still shows 26 instead of 40. I've tried various ways of doing it but still no luck. I set the timer as I'm on economy 7. Any help would be much appreciated. Kind regards, Jan, Nottingham

I’ve added 10 teaspoons of PH minus jets on 10 mins, checked 1.5 after and it’s still high. Did another 10 teaspoons and waited snd it’s still high. I really don’t know how to get it down and when to add the chlorine. I’ve only had it 4 weeks, and already had to refill it as I was having so many problems with the levels and water quality. It was always cloudy. Any advice recommended as I seem to get conflicting information
@adamabout8017
3 жыл бұрын
I don't think it matters too much which you sort first - chlorine or alkalinity - and that's why there's conflicting information out there. People seem to prefer one way or the other. In terms of your high alkalinity, it's a bit unusual to have to add so much PH- and not see an impact. It's worthwhile trying even more to see if that helps - if it is coming down then keep going. Given that this might take a day or two to get right, I stand by sorting the chlorine first so you don't start to get bacteria growth etc in the water during this time. You can always tweak the chlorine levels afterwards. Muriatic acid is the next step up from PH- and is a more powerful chemical for getting the PH down. You could also try that. Finally, you could try to soften the water using a filter in the first instance to reduce the hardness. I've never done this so not sure how best to approach it. Good luck!

There are many production like yours available and all have one serious flaw. They give scant or no information on electrical setup. In all industry of any nature and especially in the video and film industry as this could be considered as such nothing starts until the Gaffer gives the all clear (Gaffer being the term for the senior electrician). In every spa/hot tub swim pool where electricity is used the manual tells of the need to use Protective Equipotential Bonding, this is totally missing here. Reading your comments most are first time users of concerns with regards to setup and installation issues and you never mention the subject at all. So this very necessary part of setup probably never gets done. As for the quality of this production it's good, better than most, would be very good if just more information on electrical safety is broadcast.

The important thing is to plug the hot tub directly into a correctly and professionally installed mains outlet. Never use an extension cable. The hot tub cable comes with built in protection so will 'trip' if there is a problem/fault.

They too small we use the heater system on an easy set 8ft pool its way better and far cheaper, wish we had done it from the start instead of getting the spa pool first

Yeah, it wasn't an ideal set up but it was plugged into a mains socket rather than using an extension lead which is where it becomes hazardous. Out the window is fine other than the security risk!

I suggested that you don't, take it straight back to the shop, because it will spring a leak.There customer service will be appalling.😡

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience. I've had my Hawaii for over three years and it's still going strong. Admittedly, I've had to patch a few small holes when it's come out of winter storage, but nothing major.
