Saved my life! Easing it with the basting stitch was PERFECT. Thank you my friend. Haha I was going to slip stitch my circle skirt, but I realized it would take me a week given how big it is. I hmmed and hawed until I realized that Rick rack would totally match the cutesy/Kitch theme, so not only will it save me a week, but it'll be extra cute!

The wider the trim, the harder it is, because you run into the same issue where you have more fabric than the space allows. Thinner trim is easier.

Hi, question. I’m new at sewing, and thought raw edges needed to have a finished edge (sewing loops on the edge of fabric). Why weren’t these edges finished? Is it not necessary?
@yokochan4221
4 жыл бұрын
The hemming process described in the video is a way to finish the edges. Sewing those loops with a sewing machine or an overlocker is a different way to finish edges. You can also do both but that is not necessary. Generally, hemming is better at the edges of a garment, while the "sewing loops" are often used on seams inside the garment.
