Miss Sew shows how to create a French Seam.
This is a type of self enclosed seam where the raw seam allowances are enclosed as the seam is created.
This technique is ideal for sheer or lightweight fabrics, linings, unlined garments such as jackets or for the seams of unlined bags.
The technique is shown using a total seam allowance of 1.5cm (15mm / 5/8") but can be done with a smaller seam allowance.
