THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This is just the technique I wanted to learn. You did a fantastic job explaining. I loved the idea of hand basting first, especially since I was trying this for the first time. I wish you much success!

Thank you for sharing. I didn't mind the rain once I figured out what it was. I'd love to go to a sewing school. There isn't one close to me. I watch people like you and get as much knowledge from research as I can.

Thank you for showing us this! So glad you posted this. I actually did not hand baste it out of laziness and feeling rushed (tbh I don't enjoy hand sewing), and instead pinned it. It still turned out decent!

Thank you, your video is very helpful, I look forward to more. The only sound issue I had was a constant clicking in the background like a tumble dryer!

Thank you! As for that additional sound in the background - please excuse, it was raining during filming :)))

Ah, yes, rain. You can't turn that off, can you? I live in Colorado, we don't get much rain, so I thought it was your dryer;)

Thanks so much. Please did you sew the lining separate from the main dress. I mean the zipper area? Wondering if it will be possible to turn when they are together

This video is a lifesaver! Actually, a costume-saver: I'm still a relative beginner, and was trying to make an Inverness cape. The instructions don't even address sewing up the arm holes! I just finished one of them, and it looks pretty acceptable (like I said, I'm a relative beginner), and I'm rewatching the video to refresh my memory on doing the other (specifically how to turn the fabric around so it goes together right). Trying to guess it on my own would've ended in disaster, and probably a waste of 6 yards of fabric.

Mine keeps stucking all the time as well... What helps for me: check if the needle is positioned to the middle and also make sure that the needle is in top position when trying to automatic thread it. Slowly try threading and see how it goes - these suggestions should help.

Thank you so much for this very well explained video. I am in the midst of sewing a sleeveless dress (fully lined with an invisible zipper) and thought I have no other way but to complete the arm holes thru pulling the rest of the dress via the shoulder seams . Appreciate your sharing !
