Hi Toni. Thank you for this. This might be a little off topic but here's my question. Do you recommend using this method to reinforce material before it actually tears? The crotch of my favorite jeans are starting to wear thin and I would like them to last a little longer. Do you think it would help to put the interfacing in to strengthen the fabric? Much appreciated. 🙂

Hi Sandi! I’d try using one of the iron on patches that I used on the batik skirt. They come in denim colors too. You could put it on the inside to help stabilize the seam. I wish I’d done that with my favorite jeans! Now I’m going to have to do some visible mending before I can wear them again 🤣

9:30 I take a single strand of cotton embroidery thread and "darn" the hole. It becomes invisible.

What do you use on light colour linen fabric???

I’d use white knit interfacing. It presses in almost invisible.

My grandma always (when possible) cut a piece of fabric out of the hem and lined the hole.
