Impressive! You do a great job producing your health channel. I found it interesting that air force pilots are taught a technique that hypnotherapy has used for many decades, going back to Carl Gustav Jung's era of depth psychology. Keep up the good work! Love your (Irish?) accent. Sometime you might do a video on weight gain and its resistance to reversal due to high cortisol levels using the longitudinal nurses study as a major reference.

If you can’t fall asleep it is still better to stay in bed. Getting up just reinforces a bad habit and just lying in bed is beneficial to the body even if you don’t sleep. Another important point is that early sleep is more restful and rejuvenating than later sleep even if you manage to get the same amount of actual sleep, so get into bed early in the evening rather than staying up late. How is that NHS working for everyone over in Britishstan?

@@NurseSarahJeffries , there's caffeine in green tea. So, sipping green tea before bed could help you if you're struggling with your sleep. That's because L-theanine is found in green tea! This is an amino acid with a number of great properties. It helps you relax and reduces anxiety, which will be a huge benefit if you struggle to sleep each night.

@@NurseSarahJeffries it's a coir mattress with some foam, not soft or hard... I have tried changing mattress. I have a clotting disorder n I am on thinner (Xarelto) from a few years. Also have varicose veins. I have asked both hematologist n vascular specialist, they both straight dismissed it's related to that. I feel numbness or soreness, sometimes it continues after waking up also.
@NurseSarahJeffries

@@munikoti84 oh yeah with that medication theres a few things to think about from educational stand point; 1. **Sleep Position**: Try alternating your sleep positions. If you usually sleep on one side, mix it up by sleeping on your back or stomach. This can help distribute pressure more evenly and might prevent soreness. 2. **Mattress Topper**: Even though you've changed mattresses, consider adding a high-quality mattress topper with memory foam or latex. This can provide extra cushioning and support. 3. **Body Pillow**: Use a body pillow to help maintain a comfortable position and reduce pressure on specific areas. It can also assist with spinal alignment and reduce strain. 4. **Pillow Adjustments**: Make sure you're using a pillow that supports proper neck alignment. Placing a pillow between your knees can also help align your hips and reduce strain on your lower back and legs when sleeping on your side. 5. **Gentle Stretching and Exercise**: Incorporate gentle stretching exercises before bed and after waking up. This can help improve circulation and reduce muscle stiffness. Low-impact exercises like yoga or swimming can also strengthen muscles and improve overall circulation. 6. **Compression Stockings**: compression stockings during the day can help manage varicose veins and improve overall blood flow. - ask your doc about them. 7. **Hydration**: Stay well-hydrated. Proper hydration can improve blood flow and reduce muscle cramping. 8. **Heat Therapy**: A warm compress or a heating pad on sore areas before bed. This can help relax muscles and improve circulation. 9. **Consultation with a Physical Therapist**: Consider seeing a physical therapist. They can assess your posture and movement patterns and provide tailored exercises and recommendations to alleviate your discomfort. 10. **Review of Medications**: Although your hematologist and vascular specialist have dismissed a connection, it might still be beneficial to review your medications with them again to ensure there are no side effects contributing to your symptoms. --- I hope these suggestions help you find some relief!
