You got it going on right there. The four cookings you did here are GOLD. Those smoke tubes are great in combo with the gas grill. I have 4 of them. I never fire the grill without at least one of the smoke tubes smoking. A cheap gas grill transforms into a Traeger with those tubes.

Do you keep the temp the same for the first recipe after wrapping and putting it back?

Yes. Once it's wrapped it doesn't need smoke anymore so, sometimes, I even move it into my electric oven. 🐽🍻

I have a Weber gas grill and a smoke tube with pellets. My problem is I light the smoke tube, let it get hot and smoking good. Each and every time I’ve done this with in 10 minutes the smoker tube has gone out. The Weber’s lid must not allow enough air to keep the the tube smoking. If I crack the lid a bit the tube keeps smoking. The problem is the smoker tube doesn’t produce much smoke, crack the lid and you lose the smoke before it gets down to the grill level. Any ideas? I was even thinking about drilling a few 1/4” holes in the bottom of the grill on the side below where the smoke tube sits.

I use a Weber, also and sometimes those smoke tubes are stubborn. I use a torch to light my pellets to make sure I get some real nice coals to continue burning when I drop the lid. It's the only way that I have found to guarantee it stays lit when the lid is down.

Don't waste the beef broth. Water is all you need or everyone would be using beef broth. 🍻
