Expertly executed. As a long range fixed winger, I sip low amperages from large batteries, so I always snip off their bulky XT90s and do just this. The main trick is to touch the tip to both the wire and the connector bay at the same time, exactly the way you do it. But I strongly recommend plugging in an opposite connector first, that gets rid of a lot of excess heat. Another old hand tip is using a vice instead of an alligator clip, then you can apply more pressure with your tip and thus transfer heat quicker.

270 degrees? Celsius? That's stone cold for an iron. Solder only melts at 185ish. I imagine you want considerably more than that. More like >350c for fine work and >400 for fat cables.

It is commonly suggested when soldering this type of connector to have it plugged in so that when the plastik heats up your pins would not misalign.

You forgot the part where you singe your fingers and melt the connector and wire insulation. Seriously though, that's a beautiful solder job. Mine never look like that :(

What is a sawder or a sawdering iron?

You spelled it wrong, but a soldering iron is the hot tipped deice used to melt solder, which is soft metal mix with a low melting point used to bond wires together.

The wire didn't look to go in the connector much

That's the issue with those thick wires, good luck for that!
