What a great tutorial! Easy to follow because you nailed the explanations and comparisons to a regular 2x2x2. It may be too fast in places, but one can just rewatch it. I think when someone understands some basic rules, the puzzle can become fun and easy.

Thanks for the tutorial! It helped get me started with my new 2^4 cube. I was surprised how naturally the solve goes once you understand a few basic principles. I ended up combining your method with the beginner 3d method and some intuition to get my first solve!

While I'm not a huge fan of RKT, as it feels like I am not just solving a 2^3 but while holding another cube, this really is a good tutorial. I has a weird situation where I solved WY, gyro'd them, then solved PP, and WY wasn't broken up, so I started to think this was normal, and that colour should be preserved in each step.... Oh well

Do you have an algorithm for RKT parity with a 180° twist ? I kind of solve it by using yours for the 90° twist and additional random twisting but that's not very efficient
@RowanFortier
2 жыл бұрын
Actually a 90 degree twist of a single layer is an impossible case. I show my algorithm for 180 RKT parity at the end of the video about 31:40 I think :)

@@RowanFortier Well I've been solving my cube quite a bit lately and I do stumble unto parity cases with a 90° twist, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong for that to happen, but if you ever find an algorithm for this case it would be much appreciated dear sir.
