I think one of the best things about your tutorials is that you narrate every single move you make in the viewport so throughly that I don't even need to look at the video output unless I'm confused. I can just hit my flow state and put something together way faster than I otherwise would. Thanks again for these great tutorials!

I have this sort of set up but not through the physical material system where I hit my robots, it makes a metal sound and sparks from the projectile. Physical material system makes it's alot easier to automate, you can just assign it to the textures and they apply to all the objects which use that texture, it's a great system, thanks.

@@PitchforkAcademy Absolutely. I subscribe after watching this video. I had actually implemented a muzzle flash on my own, but I couldn’t figure out how to shift its spawn position. It was spawning a bit to the left of the muzzle. And your video helped me a lot. Thanks again.

Came across a few of your videos -you explain things really well and video is easy to follow. However, I've noticed some of your methods are based on older versions of Unreal Engine and could be more optimized. For instance, spawning a new emitter for each hit and using a Switch on Enum isn't as efficient as using Niagara or a single Cue to handle surface interactions and call itself. I suggest looking into the latest updates to the editor - maybe base your tutorials on newer tutorials, as there are now easier and more optimized ways to achieve these effects. Imagine 20+ AI spawning multiple emitters per shot + impact -it could get inefficient, especially as now you are talking also about replication (haven't watch that tutorial but if it is using a similar system it's gonna be costly). You might also find it helpful to check out how Lyra was set up.

@@Retro_simone Thanks very much for pointing this out, I'll definitely look into that. 🙂

Adding to this for MP, depending on player counts per server, you'll want to get into Multicasting w/ Proxy Role logic. e.g. say another player fires, but is too far away for the VFX. You'll MC the shot but have Sim proxy only apply the muzzle sound. Loads of stuff like this.

@Jakemoney2 That would require a great deal more infrastructure than would be reasonable to build just for a tutorial on that very specific function. Good luck!
