This was written in the video (almost): 1. Proper focus -Close all tabs, no youtube, podcast or discord in background -No phone at all -Get into flow state / deep work (Cal Newport) -1 to 2 hours at a time 2.Asset library -Save anything you model or download -Organize by kits/type of model/textures, etc 3. Workspace -All essential windows are open on blender -2 viewports, keep camera view open (if scene not too heavy) 4. Daily renders -Set time constraint = finish within that time -Teaches you to work efficiently -Avoid bad habits -Take more time if needed to avoid posting crap.

At some stage you have to consider a NAS box. It doesn't have to be big/silly expensive, just a 2 bay drive from Synology or other brand that you trust. You're basically just using it as a safe file repository/file server. Cat 6 ethernet cables plus a gigabit network switch and you're good to go. You can use solid state drives if you want (sata type) or big 3.5" hdds, like seagate ironwolf 2 - 8 terabyte, if you have a lot of stuff. A NAS brings huge peace of mind, and they're so easy to use. I don't have mine running all the time, just every now and then, when I want to back up files/add some things to a library or get something off it. The beauty of nas is that you can access it from any device connected to your network, including mobile devices, like laptops and tablets. Just one thing, remember to buy two identical storage devices for it, and set them up in a mirror configuration, for redundancy, if it's a 2 bay device. Many people would argue that the whole point of nas is data safety, so therefore use mirroring for redundancy. If you have a 4 bay, you can use raid 10 (1 + 0), for speed and redundancy (uses striping and mirroring across the 4 storage devices). I know - it is a bit galling to buy 2 storage devices and only end up with the capacity of one, but that's the price we pay for peace of mind. As Linus Sebastian (LTT) once said, "buy once, cry once". Then you can chill.

Distraction is a big thing. If I fire up Blender first I am away running...if I fire up world of warships for just 1 game...Blender does not happen. The one consistent thing for me is competitions or live stream events. Still, have so much more to learn. Appreciate your posts.

I think I figured it out. It looks like you deselect "Show Gizmo" if that's selected. Under "Show Overlays", deselect "Text Info". Then right click on a blank section of the header in the view window and deselect "Show Header". I hope that works for you too.

It's really interesting to see how other people work Max, and you've certainly developed your own system. There are, of course, no rights and wrongs, whatever works, but I would observe that you have a lot of stuff going on, on your screen. Have you considered using two monitors side by side, so that you have more space to arrange all of your workspaces? I have not tried this yet myself, but I would like to. Apparently, blender has some features which make it quite amenable to a dual monitor setup. Otherwise, great advice.

I have been using 3.3 for quite a while and I don't know how to set up the Asset library _Am I dumz_ I mean I have a folder where I kept some of my fbx models but blender can't see therefore I can't in asset library
@exorcist3d99

@Ab_obla

The asset library does import fbx files it imports blender elements like models in a .blend file or material or someone, go search for a tutorial they'll teach you everything (of you haven't already done that i suppose)

Does all the assets in you library has commercial license on them? There are a lot of them from different sources. Especially "People" one. It kind of reminds me of those incredibly expensive human assets for movies with very convoluted licensing. I mean it's all well and good when it's your hobby or you are building a portfolio, but it can become a problem if you accidently use something in commercial work.
